Jessica is an energy engineer and strategist with a portfolio career spanning over 17 years of experience from complex infrastructure to high-level policy and governance reform, contributing to the development of clean energy systems in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
Reflecting her diverse portfolio career, Jessica has taken on several strategic roles across the globe. She is the Founding Partner of New Energy Consult in Dubai and Head of Energy Transition at SRMG Think in Riyadh. Her other roles include Non-Executive Director at Iris Solar Technology and Global Advisor to Azure Strategy in London, and VP at the Middle East Institute Switzerland. She has held advisory and consultancy roles for the public, private sector and UN agencies. Previously, she was resident fellow with Chatham House’s energy and environment program in London, and non-resident scholar at the Middle East Institute in Washington DC. Prior to that, she was the chief energy engineer at the United Nations Development Programme.
Jessica is a globally recognised thought leader and speaker, having delivered talks in dozens of countries. Her commentary and insights on the energy transition have been featured in leading outlets including The Washington Post, Bloomberg, The Economist, and Reuters.
Jessica has been awarded notable international fellowships from the US State Department, UK Foreign Office, and EU Commission in recognition of her leadership. She holds a master’s in political science and negotiations, and a bachelor’s in electrical engineering, and maintains active affiliations within expert networks.
