Elena Boskov-Kovacs

Elena Boskov-Kovacs is Co-Founder and Managing Director of Blueprint Energy Solutions, a Vienna-based think tank at the forefront of Europe’s clean energy transition. Over the past two decades, she has become a recognized leader in shaping EU research, policy, and investment agendas for smart grids, gas and hydrogen value chains, and security of critical infrastructure. She has secured and steered more than €40 million in European R&I funding for flagship innovation pilots, enabling industrial decarbonisation, energy communities, and large-scale digitalisation of the power sector.

Elena began her career in electric vehicle development in Asia at the turn of the millennium, before driving the global expansion of a pioneering energy software company that grew from 30 to over 1,000 employees that were later acquired by Siemens and Schneider Electric. She subsequently developed and led the Smart Networks business at DNV GL and Accenture, advising major DSOs and TSOs on digitalisation, flexibility, and system integration.

She also served as Chairwoman of the European Technology and Innovation Platform for Smart Networks for Energy Transition (ETIP SNET) working group on digitalisation and consumer participation, where she guided the strategic research and innovation roadmap for Europe’s electricity sector. She continues to serve as an honorary chair and sits on multiple advisory boards.

A frequent speaker and moderator at international conferences, Elena is widely regarded as a thought leader connecting technology, finance, and governance to accelerate Europe’s clean energy future.
